Privacy Policy

§ 1. Who we are

Robinhood Academy is a free, independent educational website about blockchain technology, on-chain markets, and how token launches work, available at https://robinhoodacademy.vip (the "Service").

Robinhood Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Robinhood Markets, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. We are not a broker, exchange, wallet, custodian, or trading platform, and we never take custody of anyone’s funds.

The Service is operated by BIG IDEAS GROUP LTD, which is the controller of your personal data ("we", "us"). You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@robinhoodacademy.vip.

§ 2. What data we collect

Account data. When you create an account we store the name you give us, your email address, and a one-way hash of your password (we never store the password itself). If you sign in with Google we store the name, email address, and account identifier Google returns.

Learning data. We store what you do on the Service so it can work at all: which courses you enrol in, which lessons you have completed, your quiz attempts and scores, lessons you save, podcast episodes you mark as listened, certificates issued to you, points earned, and your referral code and referral count.

Technical data. Our hosting and our own error logs record standard server information such as IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested, for security and debugging.

We do not collect wallet addresses, private keys, seed phrases, transaction history, or payment details. Never send any of those to us. Nobody at Robinhood Academy will ever ask you for a seed phrase or a private key, and any message claiming otherwise is a scam.

§ 3. Why we use it, and on what basis

To provide the Service you asked for — to create and secure your account, save your progress, grade quizzes, issue certificates, and let you reset your password. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.

To keep the Service safe and working — to detect abuse, prevent fraudulent sign-ups, and diagnose faults. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning, non-abused service.

To send service email — account confirmation and password resets. We do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in.

§ 4. Who else sees it

We share personal data only with the processors we need to run the Service: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and our error monitoring. Each processes data on our instructions only. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

If you choose to add a certificate to LinkedIn, or to share a course or certificate to another platform, that action sends data to that platform on your instruction and under that platform’s own privacy policy.

Certificates carry a public verification page at a hard-to-guess address. Anyone you give that link to can see the certificate holder’s name and the course completed. Nothing else about your account is exposed.

The public leaderboard shows a display name and a points total for learners who appear on it. Points are a game score only — they are never money, tokens, or credit of any kind and cannot be converted into anything.

§ 5. How long we keep it

We keep account and learning data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. Technical logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted.

§ 6. Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Exercising these rights is free.

Send any request to contact@robinhoodacademy.vip. We will respond without undue delay and in any case within the period the applicable law sets. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

§ 7. Cookies

We set a session cookie so you can stay signed in, and a short-lived cookie to remember a referral code if you arrive through someone’s invite link. These are necessary for the Service to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

§ 8. Children

The Service is intended only for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

§ 9. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Material changes will be notified by email to registered learners.
